Here is a 1947 D Walking Liberty Half Dollar that PCGS has graded as AU 53. There were only 3.9 million of these minted, one of the lowest amounts for several years prior to this, and this is a stellar example of them. PCGS (July/August 2021) states that an AU 53 coin is worth $29 and USACoinbook indicates that if you were to purchase an AU 50 coin from a dealer that you would pay about $35, and an AU 53 would cost more. But you can have this coin for only $29 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
If ordering multiple coins, please note that the system only allows for those instances where you might buy more than 1 of a given item as opposed to buying multiple items. Thus, if you buy more than 1 item (or coin) from a vendor, you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I will then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
