Truman Inauguration Bronze Medal was designed by Chief Engraver John Ray Sinnock and minted by the United States Mint in 1945 to commemorate President Truman’s first inauguration on April 12, 1945. This version, minted for Truman’s second inauguration on January 20, 1949, depicts the White House on the reverse with the inscription “INAUGURATED APRIL 12 1945 - JANUARY 20, 1949”. The obverse features a bust of President Truman with the inscription “PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES - HARRY S. TRUMAN”.
