Ah but appearances at first glance can be so deceiving. The first glance tells you this is just a circulated Jefferson Nickel that is just a few cents better than common only because it is a 1949-S. However take a closer look at the "S" mintmark. Just to the west of it you see the edge of a secondary "S" that just does stick out. You may not be able to tell this in the pictures but it definitely is there. If it was not would I then really be asking $8.00 for this coin?
