Offered here for the collector is a 1960-D Lincoln Cent with a Tiny Circle Error.
This error is described on the main error reference website, and matches the example shown there exactly. These Tiny Circles have been found in five different years of the Lincoln cents, and two different years of the Jefferson nickels. The earliest known example prior to this discovery coin, was 1965. These errors are recessed on the die, raised on the coin, and usually near the center of the design. They have been found on both the obverse and reverse. Like many errors, the cause is not known for certain, although one theory suggests it was caused by the finishing lathe in the die making process. If you'd like to have this one, I'll send it out within one business day.
