This is a 1963-D Lincoln cent in Brilliant Uncirculated (MS63 or better) full red condition. It has a doubled die obverse that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1963-D 1¢ WDDO-001C (Stage C). This variety has a very strong 3/3. On Stage C specimens the secondary 3 shows inside the primary 3, but not below the primary 3 as on Stages A and B. This variety is listed in The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties as FS-01-1963D-101. It is also listed by CONECA as 1963-D 1¢ 1-O-VIII, by Crawford as CDDO-001, and by Breen as Breen 2241. This variety is featured in The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln Cents - Second Edition putting it on Wexler's "Best of the Lincoln Memorial Doubled Dies" list.
