The Hall Of Fame For Great Americans At New York University 1964. Ulysses S. Grant 1822 - 1885 with Grant in uniform leading soldiers. Bronze 44mm in box with descriptive booklet. Signed by the artist Thomas H. Jones sculptor and made by the Medallic Art Company NY. The Hall of Fame for Great Americans at New York University was begun in 1900 with bronze portrait busts of the honorees lining an open-air colonnade. Beginning in 1962 medals were issued to honor the existing and future inductees. Medals were issued in 76mm.
