this reverse was a one-year memorial design for the Canadian Centennial.
coinsandcanada.com says the last one of these sold in the past year for $53 in MS64 condition.
why people used to scratch canadian coins is a mystery to me.
besides the doubling on the letters on the east side of the obverse, the dots in that area are also doubled and also under her chin and the back of her head..
the reverse is also slightly off-center, as shown by the doubled rim on the west side of the coin.
