This 1967 Special Mint Set includes 5 coins in original mint packaging, including a 40% Silver half dollar. These coins bear a unique Special Mint Set finish.
Made by the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia.
The Kennedy half in this set is minted in 40% Silver.
Each set contains:
* Lincoln cent
* Jefferson nickel
* Roosevelt dime
* Washington quarter
* Kennedy half dollar
Housed in original mint packaging - a protective hard plastic case with an outer box.
SMS: In between proof and Uncirculated. Due to coin shortages in 1965-1967, proof and uncirculated sets were halted, but instead a limited number of special mint sets were minted that were superior to the average uncirculated strike, but not as mirror-like as a typical proof.
