1974-D Kennedy Half Dollar Doubled Die Obverse Graded ANACS MS64. Strong Doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, and the date. This popular and strong doubled die is included in the Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties 5th Edition Volume 2, appears on page 322, and is indexed as FS-50-1974-101 (Old FS-015). This variety is also indexed by the late Walter Breen as BR5299. The coin in the slab is of an earlier die state with the devices on the surfaces sharp, well detailed, and not mushy. The coin inside the slab is NOT as dark in color as the pictures make it out to be, but there are some areas of toning. Very recently graded, this slab is BRAND NEW.
It should also be mentioned that according to the PCGS website, their price guide recently increased the current market value for a 1974-D DDO MS64 from $65.00 to $90.00.
