Uneven metal flow the coin is warped causing a die clash and it made the edges to get shaved down all around the perimeter of the coin. Some of the pieces of metal are stuck around the letters E & R in LIBERTY. The pieces of metal made a lot of indentations on the coin especially on Washington. The reverse side took the larger impact there is large dents / Planchet damage / uneven metal flow / Shaved down edge / Small pieces of metal around words QUARTER DOLLAR. I think that's about it so if you collect damaged coins this is the one.'
