Look at the planchet you can see where the metal went over and where it didn't go over on obverse and reverse sides.It wore down the letters I and W on IN GOD WE TRUST and also L in LIBERTY because the high level of the metal raised the letters up higher than normal.There is a lot of pieces of metal around that came off those letters and stuck in different areas of the coin.
