Offered here for the collector is a 1983-P Jefferson Nickel error coin.

This is a 1983-P Jefferson nickel Die Clash error. Before striking this coin, some of the obverse design elements were transferred to the reverse die when the dies clashed with nothing between them. On the reverse, the front of Jefferson's coat can be seen at the top left of the Monticello, part of his pigtail to the right, and there's a faint outline of his face below the building to the left.
