For sale is a 1993 50th Anniversary of the Allied Landing 1 Franc silver coin, commemorating the June 6, 1944 Allied Landing at Normandy known as "D-Day". This coin is 90% silver, weighs 22.2 grams, and is 37 mm in diameter. There were only 150,000 minted by the Monnaie de Paris, which, founded in AD 864 with the Edict of Pistres, is the oldest continuously running minting institution in the world. This would make a great addition to anyone's World War II memorabilia.
