2000 (P) Lincoln Cent. Cheerios promotion coin graded NGC MS66 RED. THE STORY: The first 10,000,000 examples of the 2000 Lincoln Cents that were produced at the Philadelphia Mint were placed on a special card, then protected with a light film of plastic. On that card, it was designated that these were placed in General Mills Cheerios cereal boxes as among the first Lincoln Cents produced that year. In November 2022, I shipped this Lincoln Cent to NGC, and of course, to qualify for the "Cheerios Promotion" attribution on the tag, the coin WAS REQUIRED to be shipped in its original card. When I received this slabbed coin back from NGC, I immediately it placed in a small clear plastic baggy to protect the slab from any scratches or damage. Thus, the slab the coin is encased in IS BRAND NEW.
