In many cases toning actually enhances the attractiveness of the coin. Many of the Silver Eagle coins from my secondary collection have had at least one and sometimes multiple owners before me. Some toning, spotting or hazing might be present when you purchase these items as well as some reasonable wear to the presentation case and exterior box.
