I don't know what to make of this. Got this cent in a bank roll at my store. Looks like there was a cent stuck in the machine and was stamped on top of another planchet after the planchet was previously struck. It may be someone screwing around with coins too.
Looking uncirculated, I would think that anyone banging around on coins would have damaged the reverse but I can't see any under 10x. There is staining on reverse but it matches the obverse fields and rims are good to go on the reverse.
The Memorial is in upright position to Abe on obverse and I would think a coin stamp to a coin would have it upside down. Anyway, if anyone has any insight, let me know.
