2009 Formative Years Lincoln Cent Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002 (BU)

This is a 2009 Formative Years Lincoln cent in Brilliant Uncirculated (MS63 or better) full red condition.  It has a doubled die obverse that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 2009 1¢ FY WDDO-002.  Slight notching shows on the lower left corners of the ERTY in LIBERTY.  Strong extra thickness shows on the lower hair and beard details.  Light extra thickness shows on the date with a notch showing on the underside of the top left of the 2 and on the bottom left corner of the 2.  This variety comes paired with three different reverses.  It was first paired with WDDR-007.  A reverse die change then paired this obverse with WDDR-006.  The third reverse it was paired with is not a DDR.  This is the pairing that does not have the DDR and since it was first used with two other reverse dies, this may be the scarcest of the reverse die pairings.  The photos of this variety are file photos and not necessarily photos of the specimen being sold here.  This is a doubled die variety that requires magnification to see.  If you collect only doubled dies that are easy to see, then this doubled die variety may not be for you.  Satisfaction guaranteed.  Full 14 day return privilege as long as the coin has not been removed from the 2x2 in which it was sold.  You can rest assured that you are getting a genuine doubled die variety.  I am the John A.
