Item Description
This is a 2009 Formative Years Lincoln cent in Brilliant Uncirculated (MS63 or better) full red condition. It has a doubled die reverse that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 2009 1¢ FY WDDR-025. A strong extra index finger shows below the bottom of the book and a small portion of an extra thumb can be seen just above the center of the index finger at the spine of the book. This variety will be featured in the Sixth Edition of Volume 1 of The Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties where it will be listed as FS-01-2009-805. Most would agree that this is one of the "Big Boys" for the 2009 Formative Years Lincoln cent doubled die varieties. The photo of this variety is a file photo used to illustrate the doubling.
