I had ordered a couple years ago some US MInt Rolls in a bag from the government. I just recently opened some of the rolls up and found that these 2015D halves have a proof like surface.
Under incandescent light the often shine blue-white to blazing white as the photos will show.
Some have a matte or satiny like appearance around the peripheries.
NO dipping or cleaning here just straight from US Mint Rolls.
NGC has started to grade and certify them and they sell anywhere from $15 to over $30.00.
The article below states they were originally found only in US mint sets but I have found them in old uncirculated mint rolls from the Denver mint.
