The 1966 52nd annual Mount Marathon Race which is held in Seward, Alaska. The medal is bronze, it is 1 1/2 inch in diameter and in uncirculated condition. This race is held on the 4th of July in Seward, Alaska and is approximately 3.1 miles long. The first informal race was held in 1908 between a bartender and a geologist, the bartender won. The first organized race was in 1915. The obverse shows a runner with a mountain in the background. Around the rim it reads 52ND ANNUAL MOUNT MARATHON RACE - 1966. The reverse at the top rim reads SEWARD - ALASKA with a flag. In the center I assume it is showing Seward, Alaska
