95 percent copper pennies are for sale in five-pound lots. I have at least 10 lots available. I'll update the amount I have remaining as sales are made.
The cost per pound is $5.50 plus shipping via USPS Ground Advantage (two to five business days).
May include United States "wheat backs" (1909-1958) and Lincoln Memorial (1959-some 1982) as well as Canada small cents (1920-1996).
All coins are circulated. Coins may be bent, have scratches and/or surface oxidation (greening).
The coins are being sold for copper content, not for collector value.
The coins have not been "cleaned." I have removed surface debris -- such as dirt and anything sticky -- using nothing more than a paper towel and/or water to maximize the amount of copper the customer will receive. You are paying for copper, not surface debris. To reiterate, these are not collector coins.
Coins are weighed by the pound on a Taylor food scale with a capacity of 12 pounds. A plastic container is used as a tare weight. Each pound consists of approximately 145 pennies.
All 1982 Lincoln Memorial cents are weighed without a tare weight on a Tuff-Weigh digital mini scale to confirm weight -- just over three grams -- and, thus, copper content. All Lincoln Memorial pennies on which I cannot positively identify the date also are weighed separately on the Tuff-Weigh digital mini scale to confirm weight and, thus, copper content.
