Adoration of the Magi c. 1481, Leonardo's oil painting, originally unfinished hangs in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy depicts the Virgin and Child.
This sterling silver proof coin is 42mm or 1.5" in diameter and .92oz or 28.5g
The medals in this collection portray the greatest works of renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. An international board of art scholars from the Vatican Museum, the Louvre, and such distinguished universities as Oxford, Munich, Milan, the Academy in Venice and the University of California assisted in the selection of the works to be honored in this collection. This original set was produced in the 1970's.
