Item Description
This is a "pre-automation" coin counter / coin rolling item.
These were used by businesses and building & loans for rolling coins before coin rolling machines were common.
These came from an old building and loan that closed in the 1940s, when the building was torn down in 1969, we found a lot olf these, but this unused one was in an old vault. The packaging is dogeared, but it has not been used.
I use one like this, I think this is made of oak or another very hard wood. My used one looks new though it was used for decades before I got it, and I use it regularly. The item with the pennies in it (shown for scale) is my own (old used item), but it still looks fine.
