British Silver Threepence - 1919 - King George V

Up to 1919 British coins were made of 925% silver. That changed in 1920.

British Threepence coins are a little smaller then a US dime. Some black spots shown up on the crown of the coin? I do not know why, because I cannot see them in any other pictures?

Since these coins are a little smaller then a US Dime, I use a rubber band for hair. cut it, then loop it around the coin before putting the lid on to hold it in place. Works pretty well and stops the coin from moving.
