For sale is a circulated 1979 Philadelphia Lincoln Memorial penny that looks, well, different.
Both the obverse and reverse have a "wood grain" look that evidently is the result of an improper mixture of the coin's two main ingredients -- copper and zinc -- in the minting process.
According to cursory research on a few Internet coin forums, some people find this "wood grain" look cool. Thus, the penny may be a welcome, albeit unusual, addition to a collection.
