Item Description
Elongated Cent souvenir from the 1905 Lewis & Clark Exposition at Portland, OR. M&D-3, the Forestry Building, certified NGC Unc Details for an old cleaning. Rare as a certified piece, one MS-62BN & one MS-66BN. This piece certainly appears Choice Unc and is equivalent to the MS-62 piece, in my opinion. The "cleaned" indication seems a bit questionable, as there are no obvious hairlines and may have been based upon the color/toning. This was covered in PVC which I removed with a coin-safe solvent prior to submission; old PVC contamination commonly results in coins in this color range. That other MS-62 sold for $65 April, 2022; it had some spots/stains and slightly uneven color, so the price shown here for this item should be reasonable.
