HK-400, SH 18-1, Official Medal souvenir struck for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition at San Francisco. Choice Uncirculated, certified NGC MS-63 with interesting color. I had thought that this might be one of the finishes identified as "Statuary Bronze". A discussion with Jeff Shevlin however indicated the consensus was that this is just a nicely toned "Bright Bronze". The planchets for these were recycled daily by the U. S. Mint, and actual composition varied widely from close to pure Copper, to basically Brass, with the differences in toning accounting for color variation over the last Century. Likely this piece was closer to Copper than Bronze. Despite the slightly limited grade a very attractive example, with lovely red-gold base color with purplish highlights, and I think worthy of a small premium over the usual "plain jane" HK-400. Due to value this will require shipping with Signature Confirmation, hence the S&H shown.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
