Item Description
HK-405, SH 18-15, Georgia State Fund Dollar, struck for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. Choice Uncirculated, certified NGC MS-64, the finest certified (Top Pop, as of Feb. 2024). Underrated - shown as an R-6 in both the second edition of H-K and Jeff Shevlin's text on the series, however extremely difficult to find at all, let alone without problems. 95% of those I see are circulated with crap surfaces and damage. This shows a tiny bit of Obverse spottiness but has nice color and retains some obvious original planchet color. Pricing is difficult as obviously there is no comps, so that shown is my own idea of value. Individual images taken of the piece prior to certification; slab Images courtesy of NGC.
