HK-869, Colorado "Century of Progress" Dollar, Type III. Created and sold to defer the cost of Colorado's representation at the 1933/34 CoP at Chicago. Only 2,000 struck, with a considerable number melted, so significantly scarcer than the Type IV. As these were apparently all sold in the State rather than at the event, not listed in Shevlin's U. S. Exposition reference. A nice original specimen, just some very light wear however no damage from its apparent short use as a pocket piece. Probably more valuable from the historic perspective as such, as most that survived did so in "new" condition. Due to value this will require shipping with signature confirmation, hence the S&H shown.

This seller has enabled "Manual Invoice Approval" on their account. This means that after you complete checkout, you will NOT be automatically redirected to PayPal (if applicable) and will not be able to complete payment immediately. Instead, the seller will review the invoice and may, or may not, add or subtract additional charges, as explained in their policies and/or listing description. When the invoice is updated and approved by the seller, you will receive an automated email notification later, and you will be able to pay the updated invoice as you would normally.
All checks must clear prior to payment of purchase, which may take up to 12 Business days. IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE PRIOR TO PAYMENT. I combine all shipping charges to the minimum necessary to get purchases to the customer. Please be aware that the USPS has recently increased postage for package shipments and Insurance - $7-$9 for shipping may look like a lot, but it barely covers my actual cost. If you have any questions, just ask.
