Item Description
Advertising token/medallion for Jackson's Napa Soda. The Obverse uses the Obverse die of HK-158, the Discovery of America Dollar from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition at Chicago. As HK-158 was struck by Child's of Chicago, I think it safe to assume they produced this piece as well. Unlisted in Eglit, Rulau Spr 1 in his "Gay Nineties" listings, attributed to Springs, NY. However, I believe this is a mis-attribution, as all historical references to this firm place it at Napa, California. Mox Nix, a fabulous example of this token and highly unlikely to be equaled or exceeded in condition. Choice Uncirculated NGC MS-64DPL; one of two in the grade and none better. Due to value this will require shipping with Signature Confirmation, hence the S&H shown.
