Lot 24 Choice BU Silver Washington Quarters 1946-D (13), 1946-S (4), 1957 (7)
You are bidding on a lot of 24 BU 90% Silver Washington Quarters.
3 different date/mint mark combinations are present which are comprised of:
1946-D (13 coins)
1946-S (4 coins)
1957 (7 coins)
Many coins have subtle, off white to earthy tones especially the 1946-D Quarters while some coins, particularly the 1946-S and the 1957 are mostly brilliant silver/white. The 3 dates are all from original rolls that where some were sold individually or in small groups or submitted for grading.
Your bid is for the exact 24 coins shown in the pictures.
At $199.99, that's an average of $8.33 per coin. Pretty low premium for the majority of these being 1946 D or S mint marked coins
Greysheet Bid for a 1946-D in MS64 is $18.09 and $26 in MS65
Greysheet Bid for the 1946-S in MS64 is $14, and $24 in MS65
Greysheet Bid for the 1957 in MS64 is $8.09 and $12 in MS65
It is not cost-effective to submit coins valued under $75, but I have submitted hundreds of 1940s-1950s Washington Quarters to PCGS over the years. Suffice to say almost all of these are at least MS63 with the majority being MS64 and 65. There may even be a 66 or two mixed in. That grade is not super-hard to receive from PCGS but the value remains <$50. You real;ly need to think a coin is a lock 66 with a 50% shot of a 67 to warrant submitting it in my opinion.
