This is the second design type for a MEXICO 10 Centavos 1905 issued as part of the Monetary Reform Act of 1905. It placed Mexico on a gold standard and reduced the fineness of silver coins to 80% and required the national name of "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" ("United States of Mexico") which has been used ever since on all Mexican coins.
