This coin is so beautiful. It retains much of its original, deep copper coloring amidst the wear and detail of a far more recent coin. All letters and numbers on obverse and reverse are clearly legible, with the exception of the "Liberty" head piece. Liberty shows about 1/4 of the lettering, at bottom of head piece. The date and 13 stars are bold and sharp, without any damage
Her hair is visible, as well as eye and ear. Lips are clear but, face is in good to VG condition.
On reverse, the wreath is worn. The letters are bold and sharp.
I love this piece! I can't wait to be able to add to this part of my collection. It's a legacy that my great-grandfather started and I've been totally enthralled with it since I was old enough to know what a coin is.
