A struck through error coin, also known as a "struck through" is a rare and valuable coin error. This error is often caused by the dies being misaligned. worn or filled with grease and debris. Struck through error coins are highly prized by collectors due to their rarity and unique characteristics, making them potentially very valuable.
Both obverse and reverse of this NGC Mint Error Lincoln Cent Struck Through Obverse and Reverse coin were struck through with some foreign unknown matter, maybe grease. Certified as a mint error by NGC, they no longer give a numerical grade on these type errors. Although it is in uncirculated red condition, there is not much detail to grade. Similar to a die adjustment. First 2 numerals of the date can be made out (20). Most outer lettering on both sides are either totally occluded or faint.
