Vintage OBW Green Brandt BU Dime Bank Wrapped / Shotgun roll of 1960 Roosevelt Dimes.

These coins were wrapped in aluminum foil by what appears to be the original owner from the looks of the roll. This roll appears to have been stored away for decades in it's original bank wrapped green paper which was then wrapped in aluminum foil by either the original owner, or an early owner of this roll. The aluminum foil itself appears aged an the tape around the roll to secure the foil is aged and has developed a thick patina.

Using Aluminum Foil was a common practice of the 1960s and early 1970s used by many roll collectors or hoarders. The reason was it was believed to keep the coins from toning and helping to maintain a fresh, original look.I will say the pigmentation on the roll itself is very bright nd vibrant so the aluminum foil, being wrapped around the paper of the roll, appears to have helped preserve the paper in addition to the end of roll coins, which are a bright silver, freshly minted look.

I unwrapped the aluminum foil only to take pictures of the end of roll and roll itself and immediately returned the roll back into it's aluminum foil capsule and this is the way the roll will be sold to you
