I bought this set of Roosevelts with the intention to break the set and sell individually. The book was probably produced in 1953. You can see the collector had to add the mintage totals for that year and had to add each year to the end of the book. These were probably collected in the 50's taking the best coins out of circulation at the time. In 1953 they just made the book the size they did because at that time they didn't know how long the series would last. I hate the idea of breaking up a set put together so long ago.
This set has been together for many years ,"The high sulfur content of the Raymond boards is famous for creating attractive toning on coins stored in them for extended periods (though not all coins developed attractive toning). Nicely toned, genuine "Wayte Raymond Coin Board" coins often fetch a premium in the modern marketplace. Today, the boards themselves are considered collectibles and are frequently sought after by collectors of specific series". Please view the photos. This is a nice set of coins in a nice vintage board purchase them and let me pay the shipping.
I had considered breaking the book in half and selling each page separately but I hate to do that too. If interested in just one page contact me and perhaps I will sell one page at a time. If you have any other questions please ask.
