Original BU Roll 1951 Lincoln Wheat Cents 50 BU Uncirculated Coins Scarce Date
Tough Date Original BU Roll of 1951 Philadelphia Mint Issue Lincoln Wheat Cents.
Tough date roll which is backed up by the Greysheet Bid/Ask of $120/$155.
Original mint bloom with a mix of Red to Red/Brown Toned Coins. Some carbon spotting as is typical for most BU Rolls of Copper Coins. But, no other surface problems, verdigris or corrosion is noted on any of the coins. All 50 coins are very well matched with full cartwheel luster that are obviously from an original roll.

BU Rolls of Lincoln Cents and other US coin are predominantly lower grade, not the "Gem BU" portrayed by most. Gems are rare. Not every coin or roll is "Gem BU".
We do not apply the term GEM BU to the original rolls we sell, and to the vast majority of raw coins we sell. It's incorrect to label an entire roll gem as if gem is the norm or commonplace. Gems are rare. To describe an entire roll of 50 coins as "Gem", is irresponsible and totally false. On average, one would do very well to get 10-20% Gem level coins in the average roll.
