A wonderful example of this scarcer date 1839-O Half Dime, the design details are boldly rendered, the sole weakness being at obverse denticles from 1:00 - 3:00.
There are no marks or distractions worthy of mention, and mint luster is subdued by the crusty olive-grey color gracing both sides.
It's possible that conservation could uncover the mint luster, but at some risk to the obvious originality of this coin. I recommend that the coin live on exactly as-is.
