Truly Original BU Roll 1956-D 90% Silver Roosevelt Dimes Frosty Luster

Listing is for  one (1) truly original roll of 1956-D BU 90% Silver Roosevelt Dimes in Gem Uncirculated condition housed in translucent, soft plastic vintage tube.

These days so many sellers use (overuse) the term Original, Gem, from original roll. Some use these adjectives in almost every single one of their listings. By applying the term Gem to all of your listings, you are diminishing the value of gem to average or below average. It is on auto pilot in many descriptions. How can an unopened bank wrapped roll of coins be stamped as Gem if they have never been opened? What, from the end of roll coin that while toned, almost always exhibits bag marks and imperfections from being exposed? And anyone who regularly submits coins to PCGS or NGC knows full well how difficult it is to receive a grade of 65 or above on mid century modern coins (1930-1970). I've sent many bulk submissions in and there's no shortage of MS63 and 64 even when cherry picking rolls (bulk submissions being a 100 coin minimum submit but no more than 5 different date/mint mark/denomination so for example 20 each of 1954 25c 1954-D 25c, 40x 1950 25c, 10x 1953-S 1c and 10x 1947-S 10c might be one submission. You're very handcuffed having to send a minimum of 100 coins and only 5 different date/mm/demon being allowed. No variety attribution in bulk submissions

I digress

When we use these terms, we do so very carefully and conservatively.  We cannot state with certainty anything is is original unless we have had sole custody of said item from inception. I look for signs of originality. Absent of any "red flags", we can assume said item is more likely than not to be original. But, we dont stop there. We ensure the edges and patina of a roll all match and appear to be consistent with being together and from the same batch before we stamp the adjective Original to any of our listings. Less than 15% of our listings have the term original in them, and for non graded coins, and less than 10% have the term gem, even though we could use both more liberally - we prefer to be conservative and would rather under use these terms than overuse them..

The tape that was wrapped around the tube and cap was brittle and old. it had to be cut so I could put the dimes on display. I hate to have to do that, but there s no other way as we have to demo the coins for sale. The string tape is frayed and shows age and patina.

I would suggest to everyone  - Do your own homework before buying anything. You will save yourself a lot of stress and money later while enjoying the interesting educational things you learn along the way!

At SAM's, we use Stock Photos very infrequently. The coin in the photos is the exact coin you will receive.

All invoices must be pre-approved (by me) to ensure the coin you are purchasing is still available for sale. We sell on multiple sites, locally, etc. We do our bets to maintain current inventory, but sometimes one coin may sell twice within extremely close proximity of each other. We will pre-approve any/all invoices submi9tted promptly, usually in less than an hour from the time you checkout.

Pay only 1 shipping charge, (the highest) and all the rest ship at no extra charge. I will update shipping cost at the time I approve the invoice.
