Cold War Ear Bronze Navy Collectable .January 21,1954 General Dynamics Launched the first Nuclear Submarine (USS NAUTILUS SSN-571) These medals/medallions were only procured directly to family members related to person whom had worked for the ELECTRIC BOAT DIVISION OF GENERAL DYNAMICS CORP. This is the orginal medal/medallions for this launch. This was the first operational nuclear submarine, she was also the first in her class to complete a fully submerged transit to the North Pole on August 3,1958 This was a gift from my grandfather whom was there!
