see pics...nice coin...reverse has mint employee handprint spots in grease and also a few in front of the nose and eyes on obverse. the mint scratches on reverse are not visible either to die stage or polishing...something happened which caused human hand contact at the mint...
this is a newly discovered DDO that was not on the Wexler list a few months ago....this coin appear to be slightly later in the die stage, as the notch on the right of the U is weak from what looks like die deterioration, maybe.
the listing pics match the markers but the way the rays stick through the globes and the bent ends of rays under STATES OF are not mentioned and that is a pretty strong error. it may be an error on just this coin or if another is found, it could be a new DD Reverse variety.
I have a problem with my microscope/camera so these pics were taken with a point and shoot camera and then the images were put on my laptop and I used Zoom to close in on the notches and doubling. if the lighting seems funny on some, that is why.
