1810 Large Date - Large 5 - Capped Bust $5 Gold Half Eagle - Five Dollars

There were multiple varieties of the 1810 $5 Capped Bust Gold Half Eagle. This variety is known as the "Large Date - Large 5" variety - which is common compared to the small "5" variety. There were two major variations of the 1810 date - one had smaller numbers while the other had larger numbers. It is fairly easy to distinguish the differences. Depicted below is an example image comparing the differences between the Small Date vs Large Date. Notice how on the large date the "1" and "0" are also much closer together and the serifs are different on both of the "1" numbers in the date:

In addition: The large date variety also has two major variations on the reverse of the coin as well. There are the small "5" and large "5" varieties (the tall "5" variety only appears on the small date variation").
