About Me:

Hi,I'm Butch, and I am a coin collector...there that's the first step towards recovery, right!  I greatly enjoy humor and goofing around, but when it comes to coins, particularly the US error coins, grading scales and identification I am known as a purist.  Therefore I will list all my coins as accurately as possible per my experience.   I did start as a young collector in the late 1950's with my father but as life intruded, had little time and resources to devote to the hobby.  I started "re-collecting" in 2012.   I am by no means a life-long expert, but have become adept at recognizing many types error coins, minting processes and identification of these coins, specializing in Repunched Mintmarks (RPM's)  I have even written two short PDF booklets on "Coin IDing for Dummies. Vols. 1 & 2" and soon an additional chapter of individual tutorials.
