My collection is mostly comprised of coins that were left to me by my father. he was the true collector and I was just a child going around with him to various coin shows picking out the shiny new pretty ones.
Dad started collecting in his Air Force days in the 1950s. As a B-36 and B-52 aviator he was able to pick up some interesting items from all over the world. When he retired and we moved to Texas, my sister and I would go along with him to Golden Gloves boxing or hockey games and the occasIonal coin show because Mom was going through medical school and my big brothers didnt want anyu lttle sisters tagging along.
So these are from his most personal favorites. The ones he kept in the house, not in the bank drawers. I hope they find a place where they will be as cared about as they have for the last 4-5 decades. I would love to hear from people interested in any of them, not for their metal value please, but someone who will keep them for a while. You might be able to talk me into parting with a few I am having a hard time letting go.
If I appear unfamiliar with some of them, please bear with me. I may ask a lot of questions, and if I am way off the path I will gladly take any sound advise and sleep on it.
Some are for sale now and some are not yet. If you see something you are really interested in please ask.
thank you for taking the time to stop by.
